Originally from Bannockburn, Claire graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2011 with a 2:1 BMus (Hons) focusing on Vocal Performance. She was an active member of the University Chamber and Chapel Choirs, the Baroque Ensemble, Opera and Gilbert and Sullivan Societies. Since then she has been involved with various musical projects and has also been working with NYCoS in the past two years.
As a singer, Claire was a member of NYCoS for 8 years and has since become involved with several other vocal groups and choirs such as the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Choir (Choir member and soloist), St Mary’s Parish, Stirling (soloist and choir leader), Consort of Voices, Edinburgh, Glasgow Chamber Choir and more recently the St Andrew’s Cathedral Choir.
Claire teaches singing privately in Glasgow and is also a Vocal Tutor with the NYCoS Singing Academies and Singing Teacher with the NYCoS Renfrewshire Area Choir. She has also helped with charity events in her home town, organising regular musical evenings and concerts to fundraise for the local parish.
