Workshop 4: 26 to 28 October – Recording the songs at Pollok House
During three evenings the performers came together in Pollok House to undertake professional recordings of their songs. The songs were recorded by Philip Hobbs (of Linn Records), one of the top recording engineers in the country, who specializes in recordings of period performance and has an award-winning track record, having worked closely with the Dunedin Consort and many other leading ensembles. Our performers therefore had the opportunity of learning from him and experiencing the process of contemporary recording in a period venue.
